ABOUT ME.

Alex Casimir is a Brooklyn based filmmaker who hates talking about himself but will give it a go anyway.

He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.F.A in Film and Television Production. As a half Black/half Chinese filmmaker, his work looks to explore the intersectionality of history, race, and masculinity with a touch of magical realism. Which is a more pretentious way of saying he enjoys identity pieces that not only examine the individual but the time in which they operate.

His shorts have screened at international festivals such as Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, and NFFTY.  He was also a finalist for Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship.

He currently works as a Creative Specialist at NBCUniversal in their Ad Sales department. He’s worked with clients such as Make-a-Wish, Delta Airlines, and The National Constitution Center.
